Pension Problem Plagues Syracuse, N. Y. Pensions in Syracuse Fire and Police Departments have been held up, and members of the departments have been warned against resignations of able bodied men under the twenty year half-pay clause, in view of the fact that the pension funds are running low. A reduction in pensions may be the final result. Reports have been circulating that the administration plans to set a minimum age retirement limit of fifty-five to sixty years.
