British Firemen Ask for Gloves

Issue 3 and Volume 94.

British Firemen Ask for Gloves A request for 10,000 pairs of asbestos gloves to lessen injuries among civilian firemen has been made to the British War Relief Society in New York City from London. The president of that organization, Winthrop W. Aldrich said that the gloves would be sent as soon as delivery was made. He pointed out that the fulfilling of this request was justifiable in view of American aid to Britain because the loss of a civilian fighter even for just a day is a serious loss.
