SIGNALMEN HOLD SUCCESSFUL CONFERENCE The 49th Annual Meeting of the International Municipal Signal Association was held in Boston, October 2 to 5 inclusive with nearly 600 in attendance. The business and technical program was a heavy one, including papers by persons prominent in all phases of emergency communications. A feature was the emphasis on radio communications with papers by Dr. W. R. G. Baker, Vice President General Electric and Chairman of the Radio Technical Planning Board; Dr. N. E. Noble, Research Division, Galvin Manufacturing Company, Chairman of Panel 13 of the R.T.P.B., and Mr. G. P. Adair, Chief Engineer, Federal Communications Commission. Frederick B. Philbrick, President, Gamewell Company, spoke on municipal signal postwar planning; Mr. Frank Bridges, Chief Engineer, and Edward J.
