Indiana Chiefs Hold Convention The Indiana Fire Chiefs Association held its 1945 State Fire Prevention Convention, November 14, 15 and 16 in Indianapolis, with a large attendance of state and other fire officers. This year’s presentation of the awards to municipalities, industrial companies and others for outstanding work in fire prevention was deferred until the spring, 1946 convention, which will be held in Terre Haute. Headquarters of the November meeting were at the Hotel Lincoln, where a number of leading manufacturers of fire-fighting equipment and apparatus had displays. President Forrest Laufraw called the assembly to order after which Robert Hamm, Association Chaplain, delivered the invocation. Members of the Indianapolis official family and distinguished guests were then introduced, after which Arnold Renner, Michigan State Fire Marshal, delivered an address.
