Salisbury, Md., Has Conflagration Four large stores were destroyed at Salisbury, Md., on March 14, in a blaze that was out of control for about four hours. Some 30 fire companies from Maryland and Delaware towns responded. Damage is reported to exceed §250,000. First discovered by a policeman, who found trash burning in an alley next to a clothing store at about four o’clock in the morning, the fire reduced the interiors of two and three story buildings, ranging from 100 to 250 feet in depth.
