Short Cuts and Gadgets “PLUGS” FOR FIRE DOORS Here’s another “Short Cut” that may prove of some use to the plant fire protection services. On the center of all fire doors cut a 1-in. or 4-in. round hole. Have fire-proof plugs made to fit these holes. If a stubborn blaze occurs in the room behind a door you can then push in these plugs and get water on the fire with either the standard hose nozzles or cellar-pipes. RAYMOND G. LEE Rochester, N. Y.
