MISSOURI VALLEY FIRE CHIEFS HOLD OUTSTANDING CONFERENCE Excellent Program, Exhibits and Plenty of Recreational Features Included ACCORDING to some delegates, the Missouri Valley Association of Fire Chiefs Annual Convention held June 23, 24 and 25, 1949 at Fort Collins, Colo., was a cross between Old Home Week and a fire chiefs conference, with a dash of College thrown in. To say that delegates enjoyed themselves is putting it mildly. The very fact that the Fort Collins Fire Department, with Fire Chief T. P. Treadwell sparking things, was the host is proof. Three days of conferences weren’t enough to keep Missouri Valley fire chiefs away from a fire as was vividly demonstrated by Chief Treadwell and his crew on the final Saturday night with an impromptu grand finale to the Eleventh Annual Conference.
