Waterloo, Iowa, Issues Annual Report In his comprehensive 47th Annual Report of the Waterloo Iowa Fire Department, Fire Chief Ray Tiller recommends a number of improvements, including elimination of railroad grade crossings; a new central office for the Fire Alarm System, and replacement of outmoded boxes; better parking restrictions on narrow streets; adoption of a Fire Prevention Ordinance, and continuance of the levy for the “Old Fire Equipment Fund” to provide funds for modernization of the fire alarm system and to further equip all appartus with radio, including walkie-talkie sets, during 1953.
