Safe Handling and Use of Methylamines The Manufacturing Chemists’ Association, Inc., 1625 Eye Street, N.W., Washington 6, D. C., has issued “Chemical Safety Data Sheet SD-57—Properties and Essential Information for Safe Handling and Use of Methylamines.” The 20-page folder, part of a continuing series, details the precautions necessary for handling anhydrous methylamines and aqueous methylamine solutions, which are classified by the InterState Commerce Commission as flammable compressed gases and flammable liquids, respectively. According to the MCA. these chemicals are not a serious industrial hazard, provided workers are effectively instructed and adequately supervised in their proper handling.
