NBFU Lists Fire Loss Data The National Board of Fire Underwriters has reported that 505 fires, which individually destroyed $100,000 or more in property, were responsible for $144,500,000 in losses during 1957. This is about one-seventh of the grand total of $1,023,190,000 for all causes. In addition, farm fires accounted for $152,000,000 during the year.
