Said to be half as heavy as common protective clothing, they are claimed to resist heat, chemicals and acids, and have excellent abrasion and snag resistance while being very flexible. They are available in safety yellow, black, or combination of black and yellow, or with permanently welded ScotchLite, as well as chief officer white. FWD Drops Fire Apparatus Manufacturing The FWD Corporation, Clintonville, Wis., which has built fire apparatus since 1914, has announced that effective May 1, it terminated manufacture of complete fire trucks. The company will supply a new custom-built line of fire apparatus chassis. Named “Tractioneer,” the chassis will be adaptable for pumpers, aerial ladder trucks and snorkels…
