D. photos by Terry Brennan FOURTH OF JULY in December appeared to be a reality as Denver fire fighters battled a magnesium blaze during the evening hours of December 6. At 4:10 p.m., Denver Fire Alarm Office received a telephone alarm for 100 South Santa Fe, National Iron & Metal Company. The informant reported A man is trapped in the fire. Responding were Engines 11, 13 and Truck 11 under the direction of Assistant Chief Jack Jaynes, West District. Upon arrival the seat of the fire was found in the middle of a truck trailer extending to a warehouse immediately behind.
