Firemen Repair Tower Clock The clock atop Pier A in Manhattan— a World War I memorial—is tolling the watches again after five years of silence, thanks to four New York fire fighters. Pier A is Marine headquarters and the berth for the Fireboat McKeon. When the department could not come up with the $1,500 needed for the repair job, Marine Engineers Little and Smith and Marine Firemen Matejick and Meyers took over.
