NAMES IN THE NEWS DEPARTMENTS Stanley retires; Morton Chief at Timmins Deputy Chief James Morton was named chief of the Timmins, Ont., Fire Department, replacing Chief William Stanley who retired after 40 years service. 21 years of which he served as chief. Chief Morton joined the department in 1927, was promoted to captain in 1934 and to deputy chief in 1941. He is also chairman of the Timmins Safety Council, and chief examiner for the Bov Scouts firemanship badge. Chief C. M. Lochard Retires Chief Cecil M. Lochard retired from the Alhambra, Calif., Fire Department on February 1. He had been a member for almost 42 years. He joined the department in 1923, was appointed assistant chief in 1932 and chief in 1953. A. J. Brophy Named Albany Deputy Chief Battalion Chief Augustus J. Brophy, a member of the Albany, N.
