February Fire Losses Estimated dollar losses caused by fires in the United States totaled $113,107,000 in February, the American Insurance Association reported. This was a decrease of 16.9 percent under $136,184,000 for January 1965, and a decrease of 4.8 percent under $118,852,000 for February 1964. Estimated fire losses were $249,291,000 for the first two months of 1965 compared with $258,183,000, a decrease of 3.4 percent under the like two months last year. These losses include an allowance for uninsured and unreported losses.
