Obituaries Former Chief Harold Rudge Harold Rudge, 60, former chief of the Yuba City, Calif., Fire Department, died recently from a heart attack. Chief Rudge joined the fire service as a paid fireman in 1932 and was the first full-time fire chief for Yuba City, achieving that post in 1951. He continued to serve in this capacity until his retirement on July 15, 1964. He was an active member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the Northern California Fire Chiefs Association and the California State Firemen’s Association. Harold W. Yocum Harold W. Yocum, 54, chief engineer and a member of the board of directors of the Hale Fire Pump Company, died suddenly of a heart attack on August 1.
