Manufacturers’ Products WHAT’S NEW Pump Pressure Computer Fire Research Corporation has added a pump pressure computer to its fire fighting line. The manufacturer states that the instrument will compute the required output pressure on any type of standard hose lay and nozzle operation currently in use by the fire service. Designed to be flush-mounted on a pumper panel, it operates off 12 volts DC and is lighted for nighttime operation. To use, one simply dials the size of the hose, the number of lengths of hose and the type of nozzle used. The right-hand gage is adjusted for the desired nozzle pressure and the left-hand gage then automatically indicates the pressure required at the pump.
