3000 Go to Texas Fire School For All Levels of Training Firemen’s Training School, Texas A&M University photos During a three-week period each summer, some 3000 men participate in fire suppression, prevention and administration courses at the Firemen’s Training School at Texas A&M University at College Station. Nearly 500 instructors and speakers contribute to the success of the program for fire fighters of all ranks—paid and volunteei—as well as for fire marshals and safety personnel in municipalities, state agencies, industry and the armed forces. Most of the courses are offered during the first week of the school. Two courses in industrial fire protection are conducted during the second week, and a fire fighting course taught in Spanish is given during the third week.
