Long Beach Fire Chief Tullio J. Rizzo said that the four units give complete coverage to the southern Los Angeles County metropolis of 370,000 people. “We are proud to have researched the needs for such service and then, with the help of hospitals and community and city officials, designed our service to fit those needs,” the chief said.
