Fire Photographers Hold 4-Day Seminar in Chicago features Speakers covered a multitude of subjects at the annual four-day seminar of the International Fire Photographers Association in Chicago. Opening the seminar, which ran from last July 24 to 27, Ralph E. Fox of GAF Corporation discussed basic photography, while Lieutenants Donald Walpole and Edward Trock, both of Chicago, talked about the use of photography in the fire service. Captain Richard Keenan of Bradford, Pa., explained movie camera techniques and Captain Joseph Mancinelli of Detroit illustrated a talk on cameras and films with numerous photos. How photography can be used in fire prevention work was outlined by Inspector Thomas Lowe II of Plainfield, N.J. Battalion Chief George Schuller, IFPA president, of Chicago showed slides in a discussion of photo coverage as seen through the eyes of a line officer.
