Fire Technology Fraternity The organization of a nationwide fire protection technology fraternity has started with the formation of the first chapter at the Stanton Campus of Delaware Technical & Community College. The Society of Fire Protection Technicians, Pi Sigma Alpha, is headed by its founder, John C. Fannin III, who also is president of Alpha Chapter at Delaware Technical & Community College. The fraternity’s goals include the promotion and recognition of scholarship, the furtherance of original investigation in all aspects of fire protection technology and the development of professional standards for fire protection technicians. Pi Sigma Alpha is incorporated in Delaware as a nonprofit organization.
