Are you satisfied that the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 reflects the findings and recommendations of the President’s Commission on Fire Prevention and Control as published in “America Burning?” A. I am very pleased with the fire prevention and control act as it finally came out, and I think it does reflect the findings of the presidential commission. We on the commission came up with some 90 recommendations. Recommendations, however, don’t always lend themselves readily to implementation. We are having some problems with how we are to do some of the things called for in the act.
