Exchanging Ideas Is Key to Success for Fire School features A one-day fire school in Monroe, Wis., keeps attracting more fire fighters as it grows older. This year, some 1900 fire fighters registered at the 39th Annual Monroe Fire School conducted by the Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois Fireman’s Association. At the afternoon demonstrations, the attendance expanded to more than 4000 persons as the families of fire fighters and others overflowed the stands at the Green County Fair Grounds on Sunday, August 17. Ideas on how to make rural fire fighting more effective in practical ways were exchanged through an extensive display of apparatus of all types throughout the day and demonstrations of various evolutions during the afternoon.
