There are probably a lot of reasons that account for the size of this issue but the major reason, is unquestionably, the tremendous interest and push within the fire service and the federal government for better ambulance and rescue units to serve the public. This interest and push has been noted by manufacturers as is evidenced by the many advertisers, some new, that appear in this issue and who are supplying apparatus and the specialized equipment for emergency service. Happily, the federal government can and will supply funds for both the training and equipping of EMT’s.
