Company News Koehler Manufacturing Co. supplied its brass flame safety lamps to transport the ceremonial flame for the Olympic torch relay from Athens, Greece, to Lake Placid. The flame was carried by air on the 4000-mile journey from Athens to Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, where the Olympic torch was lighted. From Virginia, runners in cross-country relays carried the lighted torch to the stadium in Lake Placid, where the final runner circled the track and lit the Olympic flame. John M. Shearer has been appointed engineering supervisor of Ferno-Washington, Inc. He will supervise the drafting and research and development areas. He previously worked for Wayne Industries in a sales capacity. Modular Ambulance Corp. has named Jay H. Allen and Bill Myers chairman of the board and president of the company, respectively.
