Seeks “rich history” contributions Steve Foster In the 20 years since I first became part of the fire service, I have come to appreciate the rich history that makes us all who and what we are. An interesting component of this history consists of the stories that echo in the apparatus bays, on the training grounds, and in the kitchens of fire stations everywhere, as well as in the cartoons on the bulletin boards. I am collecting these stories and items and have found that they paint a picture that helps to explain why we do what we do and how it affects us and the people whose lives we touch. If you have a story (anecdote, cartoon, or poem) you feel embodies the spirit and soul of being a firefighter, consider passing it along to me.
