The National Institute for Chemical Studies (NICS) is offering without charge its “Protecting the Public in a Hazardous Materials Emergency” training program. The program, which is on CD-ROM and runs on Word(r) 97 and Power Point(r),
covers the topics of enhancing emergency plans and improving emergency response.
The training would benefit government officials with public safety responsibilities, local emergency planning committees, state emergency response commissions, and safety staffs from businesses that make, store, or transport chemicals.
