Does your organization have a plan for the psychological, physical, and financial effects of stress? Are all personnel in your organization, especially management, aware of, and do they understand, the latest research concerning the effects of stress? Are they even aware of the proven devastating short- and long-term effects of stress? Doing something about stress, becoming proactive, must be done on an organizational and an individual level. Many organizations can see only an injury’s physical effects and are not able to recognize the mental or psychological aspects and their hidden costs to the organization and, worse, the toll it takes on an organization’s greatest resource, the employees.
