Vincent Dunn,Fire Department of New York The plan is the most important part of search; without an organized, coordinated search plan, you will place firefighters’ lives at risk and may fail the community you have sworn to protect. You will have only seconds to formulate and launch a plan into the most dangerous environment many of you will ever encounter; at the end of the call, you will have to live with the consequences of your decisions. Hence, your plan must offer your firefighters and your citizens the best possible chance of survival.
