Rescue: Pennsylvania Collapses Caused by Ice

Firefighters responded to two separate Pennsylvania incidents in which awnings collapsed on children. In the first incident in Neville Island, Pennsylvania, an eight-year-old boy was knocked down and buried under ice after trying to knock down icicles from an awning, causing the awning to collapse. Four neighbors, including two firefighters, free the boy.

Firefighters rescued a 14-year-old girl in a second incident in Clairton, Pennsylvania, also in which an awning collapsed. The girls was transported with minor injuries.
