In 2006, work began to revise EMS educational curricula in the United States. Results of that process produced a new EMS Educational Agenda, finalized in 2009 and currently being rolled out across the country. The National Association of State EMS Officials (NASEMSO) maintains an extremely helpful Web site that provides a complete history of the project and copies of relevant documents outlining the changes. For educators and EMS Chiefs, a continually updated resources web page provides timelines, conversion hints, and links to webcasts discussing tactics for introducing the new educational agenda.
