The Academy of Fire Sprinkler Technology, a non-profit trade school in Champaign, Illinois is pleased to announce that the 2011 Academy Innovators Award is being presented to John A. Viniello, President of the National Fire Sprinkler Association in Patterson, New York. Mr. Viniello and the NFSA helped the Academy get started by providing generous financial support and industry recognition. The NFSA’s commitment to the education of their members cannot be questioned. The efforts of the NFSA staff are the largest in the Fire Sprinkler Industry when it comes to the training and education of Engineers, Contractors, and AHJ’s.
W. Clark Gey, President of Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers in Orlando, Florida was the 2010 Academy Innovators Award recipient. The Academy of Fire Sprinkler Technology is a 501.c.3 not-for-profit trade school that teaches classes leading to the world’s first degree specifically for engineering technicians that create the plans and blueprints for fire sprinkler systems.
