LAFD, Police Alert After 19 Arson Fires Hit City

A tactical alert was declared on Friday morning by the Los Angeles Police Department after a rash of 19 arson fires hit in both West Hollywood and Hollywood after midnight, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press.



The report indicates that the number of arson teams on call from the Los Angeles Fire Department has doubled after firefighters worked quickly overnight to put out the fires, which included a number involving vehicles. Reports confirmed calls started coming in shortly after midnight and that four fires occurred in West Hollywood and 15 more in Hollywood.
