Firefighters responding to a burning pile of garbage in Brooklyn, New York, found the body of a man.
Crews responded to the call on Hendrickson St. in Marine Park shortly before 4 a.m., according to the New York Daily News (http://nydn.us/wosk65). They discovered the corpse of what is believed to be a white male lying on top of some boxes. He was burned beyond recognition.
The fire occurred on the side of a store in an area frequented by vagrants, a local man told the paper. Investigators are not sure if the man was homeless, if he had been intentionally set on fire, or if he had been burned trying to keep warm.
