On EMS Run, CA Firefighter Recovers Stolen Property

A Vacaville (CA) firefighter responding to an EMS call Thursday morning found some property of his that had been stolen in a burglary at his home last week.

A home that Firefighter Louis Jones had been planning to rent was burglarized overnight. He lost a 4-wheel dirt bike, washer and dryer, tools, lawn mower, wood chipper, power tools, hand tools, and other personal items, according to a report in the Contra Costa Times.

But when Jones arrived at a medical call Thursday at a mobile home, he noticed an item he thought belonged to him. The firefighter’s suspicions were confirmed after he saw other additional items of his. After finishing up the incident, Jones called police, who investigated a suspect in the case. Jone ultimately recovered a portion of his property–about $2,300 worth.
