Miami Firefighters Rescue Man Who Nailed His Hand to Roof

Miami firefighters had to cut away part of a roof Thursday to free a man who had accidentally nailed his hand to it.

According to a report in The Miami Herald (http://bit.ly/AdMnND), the man was using a nail gun and nailed his finger to a piece of wood.

Crews determined they could not free the man, so they used power saws to cut away a portion of the roof attached to the victim’s hand. Because of the steepness and height of the roof, the technical rescue team was called in to help get the victim down.

The man was transported in good shape to the hospital with the piece of roof still attached to his hand.
