A Topeka (KS) firefighter was injured Monday while operating at a suspected arson fire.
The Topeka Capital Journal reports (http://bit.ly/QhEiE5) that firefighters were dispatched to a house at 4:51 p.m. Monday for a call about a fire on the back porch. Initial reports indicated the possibility of someone trapped inside the structure. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and determined the structure was unoccupied.
One firefighter received minor injuries after a fall when exterior stairs collapsed. He was treated and released at the scene.
