TN Firefighters Respond to Vehicle Crash Involving Former Chief

Firefighters faced the grim task of responding Wednesday afternoon to a fatal crash involving the former chief of the Medford (TN) Volunteer Fire Department.

Ronnie L. Braden, 62, of Lake City was complaining of chest pains and driving his Ford F-150 to a medical center in Oak Ridge when he got into a crash, according to a report on knoxnews.com (http://bit.ly/12L8JYc).

His truck veered across two lanes of traffic and plummeted down steep embankment before hitting a tree. Braden was killed. His wife was also injured; she was transported to an area medical facility, treated and released.

Braden served as chief of the Medford Volunteer Fire Department for some 10 years.
