Fire Damages Home of Fallen SC Firefighter

Charleston (SC) fire crews responded Monday to a fire at the house of one of the firefighters killed in 2007 Sofa Super Store fire.

Firefighters responded at around 7:00 p.m. to a fire at the home owned by the widow of Fire Captain Mike Benke. The home was rendered uninhabitable, according to a report from WCBD (http://bit.ly/XBkYTt), and a dog was killed. No one was inside the home at the time of the fire.
