Illinois Fire Service Institute to Host LXR Workshop

The Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI) will host an LXR Test and Fire-Test Banks Workshop on March 12–14 at its Champaign campus.  The LXR is a leading software tool for testing and is the program that IFSI uses to design, validate and analyze exams and test results.  The workshop gives attendees the opportunity to learn new techniques or hone skills with hands-on training and interaction with other students.

“We understand that such a robust software program can be intimidating, so we offered this workshop to help our own exam developers and to make the information available to our colleagues,” said Josh Zimmerman of IFSI.  He added that the workshop is also a lower price than others can expect to find it elsewhere.

Dr. Ben Hirst will facilitate the workshop.  Dr. Hirst has authored more than 20 fire service and first responder exam preparation books.  He is a noted authority on how to utilize the LXR Testing Software.

The registration fee for the three-day workshop is $595 per person with a discounted rate of $495 for additional attendees from the same organization.  Registration forms are available from Dr. Hirsh at [email protected]

More information on the workshop is available from Zimmerman at [email protected]
