Firefighters used a hydraulic cutter/spreader to free a deer that had gotten trapped Tuesday in a metal gate at a residence in Ridgefield, Washington.
A deer became wedged in a metal automatic gate after the homeowner trying to scare it from her yard, according to a report in The Columbian (http://bit.ly/11ieubA).
After an initial call to police and other animal control and wildlife agencies, firefighters from Clark County Fire & Rescue were called in. A firefighter used the extrication tool to make enough space for the animal to get free.
