Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker will speak at Pierce Manufacturing during the Pierce 100th Anniversary Open House at noon on July 13.
The Pierce 100th Anniversary Open House festivities begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a fire truck parade on American Drive. The parade will be followed by an open house ceremony at Pierce headquarters in Appleton, Wisconsin. This is Pierce’s first-ever public open house and features tours of the manufacturing plant, kids’ activities, fire truck rides, and more until 4:00 PM.
The Pierce 100th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at historic Lambeau Field begins at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday the July 14. The Pierce 100th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb pays tribute to the 343 firefighters who lost their lives at the World Trade Center. Members of the community are invited to climb the equivalent of 110 stories on the stairs of Lambeau Field. Each climber–given a badge with the name and photograph of one of the fallen firefighters–may symbolically complete the climb for one who couldn’t. Proceeds benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
