The Coalition takes hundreds of calls during any given week — with many of you sharing great stories, significant change, challenges with change, new SOGs and much more. Last month, an article written by Jim Gray, Bolingbrook Fire Department, was featured which surrounded a Cyanokit save. That article has had a tremendous amount of traffic, so the instructors have decided they need to hear from you.
Through the end of the year, Coalition instructors will be accepting articles from all of you. Whether it’s about change in your department, sharing the challenge with implementing change, or sharing new SOG’s – or the life-saving stories of smoke inhalation victims – it’s up to you. If your article is featured in the Coalition’s E-Newsletter or on the web site, you will receive a Lifetime Membership to the Fire Smoke Coalition and the 2013 Challenge Coin, which is in great demand. Articles don’t need to be long – 500 words.
Submit your article to the Executive Director and make a difference. Many times it’s the stories you tell that make change possible.
