Off-Duty California Firefighter Pulls Victim From Burning Wreckage

An off-duty fire captain pulled a person from a burning car in a wreck near downtown Los Angeles, reports NBC 4 South California.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said an off-duty fire captain suffered burns when he pullled a person out of the wreckage.

Footage of the scene showed the burned carcass of a passenger car. The front end of a white van with a logo for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority was burned.
