Firefighter Injured in Atlantic City (NJ) Fire

A firefighter was injured Tuesday while battling a two alarm fire, reports NBC 40 South Jersey.

Atlantic City Fire Chief Dennis Brooks says the fire broke out around 5:30 Tuesday evening, at an abandoned building. Firefighters battled flames on three floors and outside of the building. The fire quickly went to a second alarm.  Brooks says a firefighter suffered burns to his hands and face and was taken to the hospital. Brooks did not immediately know the severity of the burns.

The fire was under control in around 25 minutes according to Brooks, but not before damaging the siding of a neighboring building.
