For the 10th year, Campus Fire Safety Month 2014 is underway and the proclamations are coming in. (Please see in the list below)
Letters co-signed by 25 parents who have lost children in campus-related fires have gone out to all 50 governors and the District of Columbia asking them to issue a proclamation. Since the program started in 2005, there have been 265 proclamations issued as well as resolutions in the United States Senate and House of Representatives. We are off to a great start this year, and with everyone’s help, we can try to reach our goal of 50 states and DC.
You can help by contacting your own governor and asking for a proclamation. The letter that was sent to them also includes model language for a proclamation.
