A roaring fire that went to seven alarms destroyed a duplex in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood.
The Boston Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1jMn7r9) that the duplex was abandoned. The predawn fire reduced the three-story building to rubble.
Firefighters reportedly encountered heavy fire upon arrival. The building collapsed early in the incident from the sheer volume of fire.

One firefighter had a back injury and another a hurt shoulder. Four adults and one child were displaced from an adjacent home that incurred water damage.
