A South Carolina firefighter was badly burned in a Florida plane crash that killed his mother, aunt, and nephew Sunday.
WYFF reported (http://bit.ly/1oSpMlz) that Patrick Schultz is a career firefighter with the Pelham Fire Department and a volunteer firefighter for Cowpens. He is listed in critical condition and is heavily sedated at a medical facility.
WMBB reported (http://bit.ly/1psxCVy) that authorities believe the plane Schultz was piloting was taking off shortly before the crash occurred near an airport in Bay County, Florida. The crash caused a small brush fire, as three different agencies fought through mud and rough terrain to reach the crash site.
