A Baltimore County (MD) firefighter died of a suspected heart attack during training Friday.
The Baltimore Sun reported (http://bsun.md/1ptq7gY) that Robert Fogle III, 58, a 27-year veteran and career firefighter, was participating in exercises at the Sparrows Point training facility when he became ill. He was taken to an area medical facility where he was pronounce dead.
Officials said Fogle had gone with an engine crew and medic crew from the Pikesville station to the Sparrows Point facility for routine training at 1 p.m. He reportedly experienced distress when undertaking training in “the maze.”
Fogle’s death is being considered a line-of-duty death.
