Fire Collapses Roof at Los Angeles High School

A fire burned through the roof of a building at a high school in the South Los Angeles area Tuesday afternoon, reports Fox 40 Sacremento.

The second alarm fire caused a partial roof collapse, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The fire was reported at Animo South Los Angeles Charter High School at 11130 South Western Ave. and crews were responding shortly before 2:30 p.m.

School was not in session at the time, according to the Los Angeles School Police Department. The campus is affiliated with the Los Angeles Unified School District but it run by Green Dot Schools, a charter operator.
